D.M.C.I. Original Blueprints

South West Elevation

Construction of this corner closely followed the blueprint. The wing ended immediately to the left of the erection shed.

The 1964 addition of mathematics and science classrooms meant the destruction of South West corner of the school. If you go downstairs to the underground tunnel next to the existing cafeteria however, you can see the bottom of the staircase that originally led down to the lower hallway. The erection shed stood as shown in these original blueprints until the 70s. Some of the erection shed still exists by the school's West entrance. However, the smokestack was torn down to be replaced by metal chimney stacks and the gabled roof of the shed was leveled to stand even with the school around it.
